With a robust professional journey, Melissa has consistently surpassed her sales goals, closing impressive deals and managing MSPs aligned with organizational objectives and her extensive experience has shaped her into a sales powerhouse. With a strong educational background and widespread experience, Melissa has a remarkable track record in the staffing industry and has earned accolades like Top Business Development Director and Champion's Circle Winner.

How did you start your career in healthcare?

After I earned my Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Barry University, I faced challenges finding a job in Florida that paid enough to cover my expenses. I responded to a newspaper ad for a healthcare recruiter position feeling it would fulfill my desire to help others and I knew my interpersonal skills and degree would help me be successful.

What brought you to HWL?

I joined HWL primarily because of the people.  Not only for the respect of the those I worked with during my entry into healthcare staffing, but also because of those I met during my interview process.  Culture matters, and so does surrounding yourself with other A players in the industry.

How do you plan to bring your previous experience to your role with HWL?

I’ve worked in the staffing industry for 25 years, with more than 20 years focused on healthcare.  Through my years of experience and learning about how staffing companies operate, I’ve gained a well-rounded understanding of the industry.  I know what clients are looking for in a partner and what they’d rather avoid. I’m thrilled to introduce an innovative solution to address their staffing challenges and needs.

What are your priorities and goals for the future of HWL?

The new approach HWL is offering to its clients is a game changing innovation for the industry. MSPs operated by staffing companies aim to cut costs for their clients, but nobody has successfully offered a private label strategy until now.  My priority is to introduce our solution to as many clients as possible in order for them to finally experience the cost savings they have been in need of for years.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I really enjoy watching my son play select baseball. It’s great to see him develop as a player and learn important life lessons through sports.  Spending time with family and friends feeds my soul, and I also love traveling to different places and learning about their cultures, especially their traditions and cuisine.

Together, we'll set new goals, forge new connections, and continue to push the boundaries of what's possible at HWL. Welcome aboard, Melissa, and welcome to the future of HWL!
