Healthcare Workforce Logistics Launches Partnership to Manage Locums MSP for Colorado Hospital Association Shared Services

ATLANTA, Feb. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Healthcare Workforce Logistics (HWL), the nation's innovator and leader in vendor-neutral healthcare workforce solutions, has been engaged to manage a Locums Managed Services Program, or MSP, for Colorado Hospital Association (CHA) Shared Services.

The new program that launches March 1, 2019 allows CHA members to take advantage of HWL's extensive locums agency network to meet their temporary physician requirements and advance practice staffing needs. HWL's program enables CHA members to simplify the ordering, screening and on-boarding process, and reduce costs by creating a marketplace where locums firms compete for the member's business. Most importantly, members will have the ability to individually choose which locums firms they wish to work with from amongst HWL's large panel of national and regional high-quality locums firms.

"We are excited to be supporting CHA's initiative to improve the process and reduce the costs of sourcing locum physicians for its members," said Jonathan Ward, president of Healthcare Workforce Logistics. "This agreement enables all members, and especially those rural members who face locum staffing challenges, to source the right locum physician at a market rate to deliver patient care in their communities."

Michael Scott, CHA vice president of Shared Services, stated that "CHA Shared Services understands the unique needs of its hospital members as the demand for quality healthcare increases, and especially as we see a growing and aging population. This program is aligned with the association's mission to support CHA members in a collaborative way that will help advance the health of their communities through affordable, accessible high-quality health care."
