HWL is excited to welcome Megan Murphy as Vice President of Business Development, where she will help expand HWL's Nursing and Allied MSP and VMS partnerships across the country. With more than a decade of leadership in healthcare workforce strategy, Megan brings a rare dual perspective, combining hands-on experience building and scaling MSP infrastructure with direct leadership in traditional healthcare staffing operations. That combination gives her a grounded understanding of what health systems need to regain control and visibility, and how staffing partners operate within a structured, competitive ecosystem. Throughout her career, she has supported workforce initiatives across multi-state health systems, academic medical centers, government programs, and growing service lines — partnering closely with executive stakeholders across finance, HR, supply chain, and clinical leadership to help organizations move from fragmented staffing decisions to disciplined, data-informed labor strategies.
Get to know Megan:
How did you start your career in healthcare?
I joined a healthcare staffing firm right out of college in 2011. I knew I wanted to be in healthcare, but not in direct clinical practice. I was drawn to the business side of care delivery. What started as exploration quickly became a passion, and I've spent the last 14+ years building teams, scaling partnerships, and driving growth across complex healthcare environments.
What brought you to HWL?
I've long admired the Jackson brand, especially its integrity and long-term mindset. The true vendor‑neutral model at HWL was a major draw, but what ultimately sealed it for me was the culture. I believe you're only as good as the people you work with, and this is a team I'm proud to be part of.
What are your priorities and goals for the future of HWL?
Sustainable growth and meaningful impact. I'm focused on building strategic partnerships that strengthen year over year, collaborating across teams, and helping position HWL as the gold standard in vendor‑neutral MSP.
What do you like to do in your free time?
When I'm not working, I'm usually on a sports field somewhere. My 8‑year‑old keeps us busy with football and baseball, and my 4‑year‑old splits her time between dance, gymnastics, and keeping us all on our toes. We love beach vacations when we can sneak them in, good food with friends, and any excuse to be outside.
Please join us in welcoming Megan Murphy — we're thrilled to have her on the team and excited for the impact she will make.
